Mission: Recovery of Long-Term Missing Person in Non-Permissive Terrain

Location: Derry, New Hampshire

 

The Challenge:

In March 2020, Amanda Grazewski went missing in Derry, NH. For five years, the primary search area—75 acres of dense marshland near Hoodkroft Country Club—remained difficult to search thoroughly due to high water tables and hazardous vegetation.

 

The Solution:

Sky Dog ATI volunteered to deploy enterprise-grade RGB mapping technology to digitize the terrain. Unlike standard visual searches, we utilized high-resolution image stitching to analyze the marsh for any anomalies inconsistent with the natural environment.

 

The Outcome:

Our analysis identified six specific "Points of Interest" (POIs). One specific anomaly was flagged as a high-probability target. Coordinates were transferred to the Derry Police Department and NH Fish and Game, leading directly to the recovery and identification of the subject.

• Use Case: This platform allows us to fly in adverse weather conditions (rain/snow) and identify heat signatures from significant altitudes, keeping the drone audible but invisible to subjects if necessary.

• Capabilities: high-resolution thermal sensor (640x512), 112x hybrid zoom.

• Use Case: Rapid deployment for accident reconstruction, crime scene photogrammetry, and identify heat signatures from significant altitudes, keeping the drone audible but invisible to subjects if necessary.

 

Rapid Response: DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise Series

• Capabilities: Mechanical shutter for distortion-free mapping and multispectral imaging.

• Use Case: Rapid deployment for accident reconstruction and crime scene photogrammetry.

• Capabilities: Multispectral imaging.

• Use Case: Rapid deployment for vegetation analysis (identifying ground disturbances).
