Local Drone Firm Provides Critical Breakthrough in 5-Year Missing Person Case

​

DERRY, NH – March 2025 – Sky Dog Aerial Thermal Imaging, a Hudson-based drone services provider, is credited with providing the key data that led to the recovery of Amanda Grazewski, a Derry resident missing since March 2020.

​

After five years of uncertainty, the Grazewski family accepted an offer from Sky Dog Aerial Thermal Imaging to conduct a volunteer aerial search of the marshlands surrounding Hoodkroft Country Club—a terrain previously deemed too difficult to search thoroughly on foot.

Pilot Jenness Keller deployed advanced thermal imaging and mapping drones to scan approximately 75 acres of dense wetland. Unlike traditional visual searches, Sky Dog utilized high-resolution aerial stitching technology to analyze the terrain for temperature anomalies and visual irregularities.

"We processed the imagery to create a detailed map of the area, which allowed us to identify six specific points of interest that required a closer look," said Keller.

​

One of those points—an anomaly located deep within the marsh—was flagged as a high-probability target. Sky Dog provided the precise GPS coordinates to the Derry Police Department and New Hampshire Fish and Game. Upon investigating the specific location identified by the drone data, law enforcement successfully recovered the remains, which were subsequently identified as Amanda Grazewski.

"This discovery highlights the evolving role of small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) in complex Search and Recovery operations," Keller noted. "While the outcome is tragic, we are grateful that our technology could help bring answers to a family that has waited far too long."
